Cupcake partay

Yesterday, I went to a fun little cupcake party hosted by my friend and coworker, Kimberly of Attempting Creative.

She goes all out on her parties and this one was no exception. We were all asked to bring a different flavor of cupcake. There were some very creative and delicious varieties!

She had a bag of flags to decorate and label our flavors ready for us. (And in super cute paper bags she made with her Cricut).

Another Cricut project. So adorable!

I thought these flags complimented the strawberry cupcakes just perfectly.

Here are my little babies!

These were ‘Peas and Carrots’ cupcakes. She used Runts for the ‘peas’ and cut up Starburst for the ‘carrots’

Kimberly has quite the impressive cupcake library!

We gathered round for a cupcake decorating contest. There was so much to choose from!

Here are the contestants. There were some good ones!

It was a great party and I’m so glad Kimberly put this together!

Hostess cupcakes

I made these little Hostess cupcake cuties for a fun party this weekend. I used this recipe and I think they turned out pretty well.  Party pictures coming tomorrow!

In the shop: Valentine’s Day Flags

Valentine’s Day will be here before we know it! These little flags are perfect for school parties or sweets for your sweetie.

Also, I’m offering a pdf with these three designs in pdf format, so you can print and punch them yourself. They can be turned into flags as shown above or to make Valentine’s cards, tags for presents, whatever you can think up! Only $3.50 for as many as you want to make ain’t bad at all. 🙂 Find them, here.

I’ll admit. I’ve already started with my Valentine’s crafts. The Christmas decor is packed up and I had to move onto the next fun holiday! 😀 I’ll be sharing a little of what I’ve been up to along with other great ideas I’ve found around the web in the next few weeks.

Tall Cupcakes

It’s no secret that I love super teeny, tiny things. Usually for me, the smaller the better. But as a 6’0″ lady, I had to love these tall cupcakes by SugarBloom Cupcakes. She was sweet enough to put together a tutorial.

The Shop is open!

I know I have been MIA the past couple of weeks and I apologize. I’ve been working on a little project…the Lauren Makes etsy shop!

The shop has been open for a week or two now and I’ve had pretty good success so far. I have a list a mile long of products I eventually want to offer, but for now my main focus are the cute little customized cupcake flags.
