I used this tutorial from Little Miss Momma for the flowers. (Gotta make the necklace, too!) I did a few different sizes including some teensy tiny ones imagining them on a sweet tiny newborn. Then I hot glued a piece of felt on the back for the elastic to run through. Since I was unsure on the fit, I just estimated the elastic length, tied it in a knot and slipped the knot underneath the felt. So if they’re too big, they’ll be easy to adjust.

I cut out a piece of scrap cardboard and looped the headbands around, securing them on the back with washi tape.

I packaged them in an old pen box. I get mad at myself for hoarding old packaging and boxes, but they sure do come in handy for things like this!

Overall, super simple project. These flowers are kind of addicting to make! Put them on barrettes, ‘grownup’ headbands or pins for a cute little brooch.

I made this little shirt for my nephew Anderson a couple of months ago. My brother and his family are stationed in Ketchikan, Alaska(!) with the Coast Guard and we miss them horribly! I had to send baby A a little love from Alabama.

I used the freezer paper stencil method. There’s a million tutorials out there, so I didn’t take pictures during the process. Here’s a good step by step from How About Orange. The white fabric paint didn’t quite cover up the stripes, but I think it’s kind of nice showing through.

I just sent it out to them last week and look who Skyped me Sunday to show off his new tee!   He just woke up from a nap and was a little grumpy. haha. And he has a big boy haircut! He’s grown up so much!!

I went right by Aunt Peaches’ instructions, found here.  I dyed my filters pink and orange.

I taped my flowers to cheapie straws with masking tape since I didn’t have green floral tape on hand. The straws and tape weren’t that pretty so I decided to hide the with a toilet paper roll.

I arranged my flowers and taped them in place inside the toilet paper roll. I wound up slicing the roll open to give me more room to tape.

Once everything was in place, I taped the roll shut and wrapped in ribbon to make a pretty little satin wrap.

All ready for walking down the aisle!

These would also make gorgeous centerpieces too! Here’s the bouquet in an old pepper jar with yarn wrapped around that I had leftover from thanksgiving. So pretty and inexpensive!

I had some scrap wood pieces that were actually already painted white from this project I did a while back. I just wrapped masking tape around the block to help me create all the lines, got out my stash of acrylic paint and got to painting! The lines aren’t perfect and you can see the brush strokes, but I kind of like it that way.   I have these sitting in my kitchen window sill, but you could also mount brackets on the back and hang on the wall. Super simple little project!

Wow. These fringey streamers from Jordan Ferney are gorgeous! Such a simple and inexpensive way to add a ton of color. I can’t wait to use these for a party!
