How cute is this dog leash from Purl Bee? There are so many options to customize it with different ribbon. I’m loving the initial ribbon they used here though.

Last Friday, we got a little addition to our family.
A little furball of love…
Murphy.
On the ride home from the airport
Of course, I made a couple of cutesy purchases for him. I got this adorable little id tag from Lovebarklee.
And here he is sporting it….
Also, this pretty little collar from DesignsbyJinx. Haven’t gotten a picture of him in it, but trust me…it’s so cute!
We are so happy with our little guy!

Fall is literally in the air here in Birmingham, Alabama (FINALLY! ) which has me thinking of all the holidays coming up. Here are a few new designs in the shop.
This is another one of the projects I did for Lowe’s Creative Ideas earlier this year. I cut an 8×10 photo into pieces and cut craft wood pieces to match. I mounted the photos to my blocks with spray adhesive and then tapped in brackets. I’m pleased with how these turned out. I feel like it makes photos a little more like art pieces than a plain flat print.

Oh, how I’d love to get a letter from the World’s Smallest Postal Service. It combines two of my favorite things…getting things in the mail and all things miniature. Pure joy!

Just posted a couple new products in the shop. I’m always open to feedback, tell me what you think!
I don’t know about you guys, but pretty desktop wallpaper can just make my day. When you stare at a screen for most of your day, it’s nice to have something pretty to look at. Jessica at How About Orange always finds the best ones. I’m so glad she shares them.

After I lost my job last October, I was fortunate enough to get hired on as a freelancer to work on projects for Lowe’s Creative Ideas. I got paid to make. It was amazing! Sadly, when I was rehired full time to do other duties, I had to give it up. In the next week or so, I’ll be sharing all of the projects I had the opportunity to work on.
This is a project I did for the July/August issue. I used a child’s apron, folded it in half and attached with velcro to the table. I stenciled the pattern with a piece of PVC pipe.
Here’s a link with more details.
I just love this American Girl party by One Charming Party.
The decorations and activities are so simple and handmade, which really fits into the American Girl theme. They made strawberry freezer jam, mini loaves of bread, and their own butter! How fun is that?
The girls each got their own bonnet and apron.
Party favors were little bags filled with old timey candy
The table was set was mismatched china and groupings of wildflowers
